A New Family Tradition | Central Florida Lifestyle Photographer
This year I got to host Thanksgiving dinner in my own home for my family which was everything this chef girl could ever dream of. Extra added happiness into Thanksgiving weekend, I had the pleasure of cutting down my own Christmas tree for the first time ever!
Now, for some people reading this it won’t seem like a big deal but to me, being a born and raised south Florida kid I never had the chance to cut down my own tree so you better believe I was super excited when I found out that Santa’s Christmas Tree farm was just a short drive away from my new home. My parents of course wanted to share in the fun and I of course had my camera in tow to capture the moment.
Some things I learned while cutting down my own tree…
Central Florida is awesome because these kinds of places exists.
Cutting down your own tree is WAY harder than it actually looks.
There is no good “attractive” tree cutting stance.
They come with their own family of crickets, grasshopers and other creepy crawlies.
Real trees cut down locally smell AMAZING! ('I’ve always had a real tree but never this fresh)
And they drink a LOT of water!
