Valerie & Ed | Florida Elopement

Every wedding photographer secretly does a happy dance when they book an elopement. Being asked to capture such an intimate day is truly an honor, even more so when the couple in front of the lens are wedding photographers themselves. Elopements to me are basically just the best parts of a wedding day. No crazy family to deal with, no strict timeline, no rushing through bridal portraits, it’s just about the couple sharing their vows together and then basically a kick butt portrait session.

When Valerie and Ed contacted me about capturing their destination Miami elopement I was beyond excited. They had picked their ceremony spot and then we talked about tons of location options for portraits. We only made it to one of the 3 we had planned that day because Pinecrest Gardens was beautiful and because you guys it was Florida summer and ..well you know how that goes. But this couple did not disappoint. The love they share for each other was so evident from the second I met them and was so great to capture all day. Being photographers themselves they video’ed their own ceremony and Ed even captured some great portraits of his wife that day. They facetimed in their family from a distance to watch the ceremony too . Add in Valerie’s pale blue dress and fibonacci necklace, sunglasses, umbrella project and so so much color…this elopement was straight out of my photographers dreams.

Eloping in Florida? Get in touch! Jet setting across the globe to tie the knot? I capture those too. And if you are ever in need of a photographer in Charleston, SC Valerie and Ed are your people.
